Hampshire is full of so many beautiful nature trails and I love exploring them when I get the chance. Some of my favourite include the Forest of Bere (aka Hundred Acre Woods) and Titchfield Haven/canal.

I recently discovered a new favourite – Old Winchester Hill. It boasts beautiful countryside views and a huge variety of species.

Pretty rose hips, thistles and yew trees as well as robins and mole hills (although unfortunately we saw no moles!).

Old Winchester Hill is also home to an Iron Age hill fort which can be easily accessed from the main trail.

The trail is also dog friendly however for part of it dogs must be kept on a lead, due to sheep grazing in the nearby fields. We tend to stay in the areas where dogs are allowed to roam free to give the pup extra room to explore!

Being outdoors and enjoying beautiful views like those above is not only beneficial for your physical health but also your mental health.

Get out and enjoy your local nature trails in 2018! (It’s a bit muddy this time of year so make sure you take wellies!)
